For live visual editing, navigate to Appearance > Customize.

In Background Image, choose a photo and adjust Image opacity (%) and Image blur (px). Changes preview immediately; click Publish to save. Opacity runs from 0 (background color only) to 100 (original image); blur runs from 0 to 20 pixels. These controls affect the background photo, keeping text and page content sharp. WordPress image position, size, repeat and scrolling settings still apply. Removing the image hides the photo but preserves your effect settings for the next image.

Many theme options are also accessible here, allowing you to see your changes in real-time before publishing them. This is especially useful for tweaking colors, typography, and menus.

Translations, fonts and licensing

Theme text domain: grace-video. Companion domains: grace-church-core, grace-church-bible, sermon-ai-tools. Each includes a POT catalog in languages. Store translations in WordPress's global language directories or use a translation plugin so updates do not erase custom files. The Bible dataset is the English Berean Standard Bible; translating the interface does not translate scripture text.

Compile PHP translations to MO files and JavaScript translations to WordPress JSON files. For developer-managed translations, wp i18n make-json /path/to/translations --no-purge generates the script catalogs from PO source references. Use the theme language directory under wp-content/languages/themes and companion catalogs under wp-content/languages/plugins, or a translation plugin that supports JavaScript JSON catalogs. Keep the generated filename hashes and the correct domain/locale. The theme registers its admin script translations; Core, Bible and AI register their own script domains. A PHP-only MO file does not translate JavaScript messages.

Inter, Roboto, Playfair Display, Lora and Montserrat are bundled locally in normal/italic variable WOFF2. Original OFL licenses and a pinned source/hash manifest are in the theme's assets/fonts directory. Browser fallback applies to characters absent from the selected font. No CDN is required. The bundled font and companion data increase the ZIP beyond the historical two-megabyte target; do not advertise that old size claim.

Preview artwork, fictional church branding, external sermon recordings, retired tour audio, and uncleared historical images are not bundled in the customer package; neutral fallbacks are provided. Supply your own appropriately licensed media. A public source or a paid AI account does not by itself establish redistribution permission.
